“Knock Knock" (2025) by Ani Perez-Brennan is an original multi-percussion duet for two snare drums, a shared bass drum, and a wood plank, resembling the sound of someone knocking on a door. This composition introduces a simple theme that is developed and manipulated between the two performers. After a brief solo section, the rhythmic melody continues to build in complexity until a metric modulation unleashes its groove-filled momentum towards a lively, adrenaline-packed finish.
